New Mexico Elks Association

Elks Scholarships

The Elks help those who wish to further their education with Scholarships from several sources. The Elks National Foundation hands out more than $3.64 million in college scholarships each year, including scholarships for the Most Valuable Student, and legacy scholarships for children and grandchildren of Elks. In New Mexico, The Charitable & Benevolent Trust, also awards scholarships to both those wishing to advance academically, or enter into vocational training. Also, some Lodges also offer Local Scholarships from various funding sources including Bingo and Gaming. Here are some links:


2009 ENF Scholarship Contests

The 2010 Award contests is underway. The Most Valuable Student Competition closed on November 2nd, 2009. Information for the 2011 MVS Competition will be posted in September, 2010.



The New Mexico Elks Association Charitable and Benevolent Trust also offers scholarships. The 2011 Applications will be available around January, 2011.

Farmingtonup to 14 scholarships a year, one boy and one girl from each San Juan County High School, Farmington High, Piedra Vista High, Aztec High, Bloomfield High, Kirtland High, Navajo Prep, and Shiprock High
LordsburgGive away three $2,000 annually.
Grants Milan4 Scholarships to each High School
DemingFour $500 Scholarships from Bingo charity money. Apply at the guidance office at Deming High School.
